The Consorzio Tutela Prosecco DOC announces the successful wrap- up of an expansive, three-day showcase. Set against the bustling backdrop of Vinexpo Asia 2026, the activations brought the vibrant culture, exceptional versatility, and premium quality of Prosecco to the forefront of Hong Kong’s wine and hospitality scene through a series of high-profile trade and media events. 

Spotlighting Italian Excellence at Vinexpo Asia

As the premier gathering for the wine and spirits industry in the Asia-Pacific region, Vinexpo Asia 2026 served as the ultimate platform for this initiative. The three-day international trade fair brought together global producers, importers, buyers, and industry professionals, reaffirming Hong Kong's vital role as a central hub for the Asian beverage market.

During the dynamic fair, which received an impressive 14,273 trade professionals from 76 markets, Prosecco DOC brought three notable, premium wineries to the convention floor: San Simone, Cantina Montelliana, and Masottina. Stationed at the heart of the action, these esteemed producers connected with key regional buyers and industry leaders, making a strong impression and showcasing the diverse expressions of the region.

Educational Prowess at Vinexpo Academy & SommTalks

A cornerstone of the showcase was a deep dive into wine education and market trends. Prosecco DOC proudly featured in the official Vinexpo Academy program with a masterclass titled "Reimagining Wine: Prosecco DOC in Asia's Cocktail Evolution." Led by Debra Meiburg MW and Certified Spirits Educator Eddie Nara, the session explored the dynamic intersections of sparkling wine and modern mixology. Eddie Nara, Certified Spirits Educator, commented: “The session explored how this expressive sparkling wine can capture younger audiences and elevating Asia's mixology scene.”

Additionally, the highly anticipated "SommTalks" gathered some of Asia’s most famous and respected sommeliers to discuss Prosecco’s evolving role in top-tier dining. The interactive sessions featured Kevin Lu, the first Master Sommelier in Taiwan; Reeze Choi, ASI Best Sommelier of Asia & Pacific 2025; and Gerald Lu, President of Sommelier Association of Singapore, offering top-tier insights into regional market trends and pouring strategies. Gerald shared: “Prosecco DOC is incredibly well-suited for Southeast Asian cuisine. The vibrant acidity and clean freshness of the wine act as a brilliant counterpoint to the rich, aromatic spice profiles and complex textures found in Singaporean and regional dishes, making it an excellent and highly adaptable companion for our diverse culinary scene.”

 A Sparkling Dialogue: East Meets West Where Prosecco DOC Meets Italian–Japanese Artistry

Taking the celebration beyond the exhibition halls, Prosecco DOC hosted an exclusive media dinner titled "A Sparkling Dialogue: East Meets West Where Prosecco DOC Meets Italian–Japanese Artistry" at the stunning aqua. Attended by 20 of Hong Kong and Asia’s premier wine and lifestyle media representatives, the evening was a masterclass in pairing. Guests enjoyed live music and the exceptional effervescence of Prosecco DOC expertly matched with aqua’s signature Italian-Japanese Skyline menu. Tanja Barattin, Area Manager of Prosecco DOC, noted: “The reason Prosecco DOC is so deeply integrated into restaurants not just in Italy, but worldwide, is the genuine happiness it brings to the table, proving the wine's incredible gastronomic versatility.”

From Venice to Victoria: A Historic Harbour Voyage

The pinnacle of the off-site activations was a spectacular networking party aboard the historic NUMBER ONE sailing junk. Titled "From Venice to Victoria: A Prosecco DOC Voyage," the event invited trade professionals to step away from the convention floor and into an evening of Italian elegance. Cruising across the iconic Victoria Harbour, guests enjoyed a vibrant live DJ set, bespoke Prosecco cocktails, and a curated tasting of exclusive new releases, perfectly blending Venetian charm with Hong Kong's breathtaking skyline.
