The Wine Industry Development Service Center of Yinchuan City, Ningxia, has revealed that 803 cases of wine from five wineries in the Yinchuan sub-region of the Helan Mountain's East Foothill wine region have set sail from Tianjin Port for Fremantle Port in Australia and are expected to arrive in early September. This export marks the official entry of wines from the Helan Mountain's East Foothill into the Australian market.
It is reported that in 2023, the Yinchuan Wine Industry Development Service Center, the Beijing International Wine Exchange, and Australia's Northwest Wine Company reached a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote Yinchuan wines in the Australian market. In October of that year, 202 cases of market promotion wine from 14 Yinchuan wineries arrived in Australia. Over the past two years, wines from the Yinchuan region have made multiple appearances in Australia through activities such as training courses and tasting events, gradually raising their profile in the Australian market. The wines have gained high recognition from local distributors and widespread popularity among consumers, particularly in Western Australia.
This year, Australia's Northwest Wine Company has entered into a strategic partnership with Dan Murphy's, Australia's largest liquor retail chain. Plans are underway for wines from the Yinchuan region to be fully launched on Dan Murphy's online platform by mid-September, achieving a nationwide release across Australia.
A relevant responsible person from the Yinchuan Wine Industry Development Service Center stated that efforts will be made going forward to expand exchanges and cooperation between China and Australia in the fields of wine culture and trade, continuously increase the market share of Helan Mountain's East Foothill wines in Australia, and strive to achieve sales and promotion throughout Australia within three years.
