Organic gold and silver for Adobe wines from Chile
Be green and raise a toast to drinking wine with a clear conscience. Organic is the way to go. Award-winning organic wines from Emiliana Adobe in Chile won gold and silver medals at the Challenge Millesime Bio held last November in France - the only international competition for organic wines according to European regulations of organic agriculture.
The Adobe Sauvignon Blanc 2010 from the Casablanca Valley took the Gold Medal while the Adobe Merlot 2009 from the Rapel Valley won silver. The judges rated the wines for pleasure rather than typicity, giving gold to the wines that gave the greatest pleasure. The competition highlighted the finest wines and products with the best value for money, focusing on a quality-price ratio.
Said Cristián Rodrí¬guez, Viña Emiliana's commercial manager, "These medals reaffirm our years of work and commitment to producing the finest quality wines using natural processes. It is also important to emphasize that Adobe disproves the idea that organic wines are expensive. Here we see that Adobe, which sells in the EUR 7 range, is a world-class wine."
